Co-founders, resident hostesses, DJ, and visual artist, PICKPOCKET & AC maintain the goal of creating an atmosphere in which music, art and design can be enjoyed in a fun and festive environment.
DONUTS is an all-inclusive space for artists/musicians/djs/designers of all kinds, to get together in one location to appreciate each other and provide dance party entertainment to the local community. Your hips and ears may not operate independently of each other, though, your hips will be given music to shake to all night long that your ears may not have heard before!
Records played at DONUTS generally focus on obscure but danceable music from all over the world and from the early 60s/70s/80s to the present (sometimes even unreleased) with dance-able beats and an underground and/or punk rearing. Bands booked include up-and-coming local bands as well as internationally touring bands; all of whom share similar influences yet may execute their sound in different unique ways. DONUTS is a celebration and a statement of a radical resurrection of the life-of-the-party that has evaporated from American nightlife. Let's bring it back collectively!
